Tempranillo a rising force

Dean Hewitson made the Australian wine industry sit up and take notice when his 2006 Private Cellar Tempranillo was named the '1 in 100' wine in the February edition of WBM100 and was featured on the cover.
Ironically, it was the first Tempranillo Dean had bottled, despite having worked with the variety for several years. Nick Stock gave the wine 94 points in the WBM100, describing it as "beautifully balanced and cut like a silk-lined Saville Row suit". It retails for $70 per bottle.
Dean is better known for his expertise with Mourvèdre but in light of the WBM100 accolade we thought we would pick his brains on Tempranillo...
