Ned & Henry's 2004

04 Ned & Henry's "drunk young at lunch or dinner"

"Produced from low cropping vineyards grown in red soil over limestone and matured in French oak, this wine was created by Dean Hewitson so that it could be drunk young at lunch or dinner." Denis Hartnett

Miss Harry 2002

02 Miss Harry "bold, warm-hearted Barossa style"
Feb-2004

"The dry grown & ancient' vines deliver with a bold, warm-hearted Barossa style of cool, spicy Grenache. The scent is resinous as incense, the fruit red raspberry darkened to blueberry, perhaps from the darker influence of mourvedre. The spiciness builds in depth and fruit power for hours after the bottle's been open; decant this long before dinner with grilled lamb." Joshua Greene

Old Garden Mourvèdre 2000

00 Old Garden "...from four rows of ancient vines"
Apr-2002

"Round and black with a dash of spicy black pepper, this is just a soft, impenetrable mourvèdre from four rows of ancient vines. Decant a bottle for grilled sirloin."

L'Oizeau McLaren Vale Shiraz 1996

The deeply robed colour is a knockout

"The deeply robed colour is a knockout, as is the complex and intriguing scent of thyme, eucalyptus and bay spice. Then the wine flattens, as dark roast coffee flavours bog down the fruit. Perhaps this is just immaturity, and bottle age will help it decompress. Should the tannins release the fruit, it will be a great wine." Joshua Greene
