"Perfumed notes, with red cherry ... good intensity and a smooth texture."
Sep-2011Perfumed notes, with red cherry and redcurrant pastille. It's juicy and lively, with good intensity and a smooth texture. I liked the mingling of fruit with spices and the beautiful tannin profile. It's not a big wine, but well-constructed and poised.

"It’s hard to imagine a white that more perfectly expresses Adelaide Hills Sauvignon."
Aug-2010It's hard to imagine a white that more perfectly expresses Adelaide Hills sauvignon. Sourced from a single vineyard in the high, cool slopes of the Hills between Hahndorf and Mt Barker and named for owner, Dean Hewitson's wife Lou, it almost bursts with exuberance of youth. Fragrantly floral with a hint of talc, this is fresh, clean and pure, with intense white tropical flowers. It's powerful, weighty and tangy, finishing with fine, zippy acidity that refreshes.
