Miss Harry 2009
"Highly drinkable and enjoyable."

Here's an Aussie red blend with a little more brightness and elegance that won't put you to sleep prematurely. This has succulent and juicy acids, lively red berry flavours and moderate alcohol and tannins. Highly drinkable and enjoyable. Lovely.
"It’s light-medium bodied, crisp and refreshing on the palate..."

This red blend of Rhône Valley varietals delivers a heady nose of fresh savoury and herbs interwoven with red cherry/berry. It's light-medium bodied, crisp and refreshing on the palate with red and black currant, spiced dark plum and nuances of black pepper. The tangy, racy aftertaste showers red currant and red cherry along with hints of dark berry fruit. Give it a go with smoked, grilled duck breasts over a bed of arugula drizzled with sweet mango chutney

Walsh has already reviewed the 2010 but I notice that we're missing the 2009 from the run of Miss Harry reviews. It's a blend of dry-grown grenache, shiraz, mourvedre, cinsault and carignan.
It's a lovely drink. Not heavy or imposing but spicy, earthen, red cherried and then chewy through the finish. An earth wine. Touch of licoricey, raisiny flavour through the finish. Nice follow through. On the lighter side of medium bodied but a tip-top drink. Drink 2011 -2015.
"Perfumed notes, with red cherry ... good intensity and a smooth texture."
Peter Forrestal, Gourmet Traveller Wine on Sep-2011
Perfumed notes, with red cherry and redcurrant pastille. It's juicy and lively, with good intensity and a smooth texture. I liked the mingling of fruit with spices and the beautiful tannin profile. It's not a big wine, but well-constructed and poised.

A southern Rhone blend of Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvèdre/Cinsaut/Carignan picked from old, dry-grown vines; the hue is bright, although relatively light, the flavours bright and juicy on a medium-bodied palate: the lack of tannins makes it a drink-soon proposition.

Wow. What a value. What a lovely balanced red with strawberry jam and flowers galore. Full body, but not overpowering, with silky tannins and a fruity finish. Wonderful Grenache character comes out for this blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedré , Cinsault and Carignan. Screw cap.
