2006 Miss Harry

Description

The 2006 vintage of Miss Harry is sourced from traditionally grown vineyards dating back to the late 1800s in the heart of the Barossa Valley.

The three varieties Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre were picked at optimum maturity, fermented separately on their skins before finishing fermentation and malolactic fermentation in old French barriques then matured in these same barrels for about 10 months without racking. These are our traditional methods that intensify flavour and complexity. Almost equal portions of Grenache and Shiraz were blended together with Mourvèdre making up the balance.

Tasting Notes

The 2006 Miss Harry continues the success of this beautifully structured, fruit-concentrated red wine that delivers wholeheartedly in a very approachable style.

The colour of 2006 Miss Harry is bright red with a purple hue. The aromas are high tones of ripe strawberry and red forest berries with layers of complexity.

The palate is wonderfully full, showing ripe strawberries and plums, and has a concentrated core of fruit essence with a racy acidity that gives the wine incredible vivacity. The finish is exceptionally long. 2006 Miss Harry is quite an exceptional wine and is absolutely world-class.
