Come and visit the Hewitson Estate Cellar Door open from Monday to Saturday 11am – 5pm.
The Hewitson winery is set on the historic Seppeltsfield Rd, less than one hour drive from Adelaide and the Adelaide International Airport.
Our Cellar Door and Guest Rooms and Suite are part of the original homestead on the property over 160 years old that Dean and Lou Hewitson have lovingly restored. Stay on a working vineyard and winery in the epicentre of Barossa Valley and enjoy unbridled access to all the Valley has to offer.
TASTINGS
After over 35 years making wine, with 25 years under the Hewitson label, these wines are a culmination of Dean’s journey so far. We offer three tiers of wine flights for your tasting experience. Each flight includes award winning wines and releases accessible only through our Cellar Door, Wine Club and Private Cellar Club.
Everyday Treats| $20 per person
Wines suitable for the ‘everyday’ occasion; for the midweek bowl of pasta, the BBQ on the beach, the after-golf ‘licking of wounds’, our go-to range has you covered. Choose five wines or ask for a recommendation, suited to your palate.
Small Indulgences| $30 per person
An indulgent step up, these wines capture the Hewitson house style and essence—and are available through the cellar door only. Balanced with complexity and depth, they celebrate the Hewitson ethos—Old World winemaking in a new world style.
Somm Selections |$40 per person
Taste the oldest Mourvèdre vines on Earth, and one Hectare of an ancient pre-Phylloxera ‘Sélection Clonale’ Shiraz, and our Dorrien Bank Cabernet Sauvignon —these vineyards are irreplaceable.
Tasting fees are redeemable on purchase.Â
ACCOUTREMENT
Take in the beautiful views from our deck area, with the option to purchase bottles or wine by the glass. Wishing to settle in, savour the region with some of the Barossa's finest locally produced cheeses or our Vineyard Platter.

A selection of three cheeses by The Barossa Valley Cheese Company (blue, camembert and vintage cheddar), assorted dips, local cured meats, crudités, fresh fruit, local Trevaille Orchard apricots and crackers.
*Vegetarian option available.
All Boards are accompanied by Hewitson Estate grown figs and olives.
